Job Description : Overview:

The Infrastructure engineers are responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and maintenance of Vectrus’ cloud and on-premises data center environments, as well as remote branch networking and hyper-converged infrastructure. Engineers perform storage, virtualization, and backup maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution, and maintain the operational readiness of the datacenter environment. Responsibilities include cybersecurity hardening of systems, patching, and upgrades along with actively participating in engineering initiatives.
The successful candidate will have both a strong background in traditional infrastructure technologies and recent hands-on operational and engineering experience in one of the major cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:
Assists in the development of detailed project specifications and implementation plans
Contributes to architectural design and setup of cloud environments
Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production environments
Document and diagram deployed solutions in the cloud
Strong focus on cloud security and compliance ensuring operational excellence and adherence to best practices
Assist in driving process and deployment automation through the use of code and automation tools
Contributes to the development of cloud practices and standards
Install, configure, automate, and monitor various cloud services
Operate and maintain datacenter environment, running VMWare, NetApp, Cisco UCS, Windows Server
Provision, configure and administer Cloud services and infrastructure, in-line with best practices
Operate and maintain remote Hyper-V environments.
Participate in cybersecurity hardening and improvement projects
Perform PowerShell administration and scripting.
Maintain and expand system monitoring environment (SolarWinds)
Perform maintenance upgrades.
Ensure system backups occur as scheduled, and resolve backup issues
Assist with migration of workloads to Azure
Follow work control / change management procedures
Write and maintain system documentation and work instructions
Validate all configuration change requests from local organizations.
Detect, report, and mitigate physical security compromises of any system according to established guidance, policy, and regulation.
Create and manage Microsoft Azure network security groups, application gateways and load balancers.
Provide Tier II/III support to end-users and other members of the IT team and act as act as senior technology subject matter expert to junior technicians.
May, on occasion, install connecting cabling in office environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education.
College degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial.
Two of the following certifications are required.
AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect or Advanced Networking
CompTIA Cloud+
(ISC)2 CCSP
Microsoft MCSA/MCSE
VMware VCP/VCAP/VCDX
Google Professional Cloud Architect
TOGAF® 9 Certification
Nutanix Platform Professional
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Experience:
4-8 years’ of experience operating and managing enterprise infrastructure, cloud and data center technologies and direct hands-on experience leading installation and management of complex large-scale enterprise networks.
Skills & Technology Used:

Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.
