Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are –
As an Mobile Developer, you are part of the IBM Ecosystem Lab where you are responsible to design and develop iOS native and optionally other mobile web applications. You are a hands-on technical resource to build and implement state of the art iOS applications and combine them with IBM, SAP, Red Hat and Open-Source technology stacks. The iOS solutions will be used for UI/UX, AI solutions or business workflow applications and integrate in the overall solutions to solve real world business challenges. The iOS devices can be used as IoT / edge devices in the solution design.
Optionally desired experience and skills are in the field of 3D engines, 3D modelling and computer vision. The combination of 3D engines with AI and computer vision will be the aim in different solution approaches which will run on iOS.
You will be working closely with experts of the Ecosystem Lab in India as well as the IBM SAP CTO and the IBM Innovation Center for SAP Solutions in Walldorf and owning the iOS part in this constellation. You work with concrete real world requirements and develop, integrate, set up and test the choosen stack in a PoC-type of engagement for focus accounts, including building a prototype / MVP. The new solutions will be featured in the demo environment of the IBM Innovation Center for SAP Solutions in Walldorf or support pilots for client projects
Your Role and Responsibilities :
Own and be responsible for the iOS part in complex end-to-end solutions for industry processes based on SAP process templates and real-world challenges
Translate, explain and enable your team members in iOS in the overall solution
Research and evaluate state of the art iOS approaches
Design & develop and implement state of the art iOS solutions and their UI in combination with IBM, SAP, Red Hat and Open-Source technology
Hands-on iOS development and usage of iOS devices as Edge / IoT devices
Usage of Apple kits like Apple UIkit, Appkit, AR Kit etc.
Integration of iOS developments with interfaces / API’s with overall solutions
Provide technical support to IBM Sales and Consulting teams
Communicate feedback and requirements to IBM development teams, based on lessons learnt from your work
Your role will include documenting the solution design, architecture, and functional and performance capabilities.

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application
5+ years hands-on experience in Swift, Objective-C, Xcode and patterns like MVVM, MVP., iOS SDK und Git
knowledge in IOS architecture design
knowledge in HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST, Push notification, Geolocation and Data structures (JSON, XML, SQLite)
knowledge in iOS-Frameworks like SwiftUI, Combine, RXSwift, Core Location, Core Bluetooth and further Swift Features like async / await and Pods, Carthage and SPM
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Master’s degree or PhD in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application
10+ years hands-on experience in Swift, Objective-C, Xcode and patterns like MVVM, MVP., iOS SDK and Git
