Job Description : Operation IT is looking for an experienced Pega Application Developer to support development for Servicing team. As an Application Developer, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. You will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations, incorporate security requirements into design, provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
You should be able to quickly triage problems and put forth both short and long term solutions. You should have the needed hands on technical skills to be able to assist in the development & debugging efforts as required.
Must have skills:
4+ years of experience with Pega Systems 8.1
7+ years of application architecture and design experience
8+ years of programming and design experience utilizing PEGA.
7+ years working experience with application server technology (Websphere preferred)
7+ years’ experience of enterprise level systems development with strong knowledge of industry standard interface protocols (i.e. SOAP, MQ, HTTP, EJB, etc.)
7+ years’ experience of enterprise level systems IT Risk development with strong knowledge of industry standards.
5+ years’ experience of enterprise level database systems.
Working knowledge or Pega Standards and Guardrails.
Knowledge of PRPC optimization, profiling, and trouble shooting.
Strong working knowledge of SQL.
Ability to manage rapid change.
Ability to create highly available systems.
Ability to manage concurrent development.
Ability to create and manage inside a J2EE/SOA architecture.
Desirable skills:
Version control software exposure (Git/SVN)
Knowledge of Reference Data or experience in Investment bank would be a plus
Application Security and effective programming practices in Java
