Process Overview
Enterprise Technology Infrastructure (Enterprise TI) provides end-to-end technology solutions for Enterprise TI applications including Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), COREIT, Corporate Audit and GT&O Business Technology, Corporate Treasury, Enterprise Credit Risk, Finance Technology, GIS Cyber Security Technology, Global Human Resources, Global Markets Risk, Global Risk Analytics, GRT, Internal, Legal, Model Risk, Platforms and Tools.
Enterprise TI is engaged in over 800+ applications and across the complete spectrum of Application Development and Production Support. GBAMT’s type of work and services include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using a wide range of technologies. Enterprise TI India team provides extensive support & deployment of these applications by adapting the ITIL processes.
Job Description
The individual will perform the role of a production support specialist and is responsible to co-ordinate effectively with all the support groups and sub-systems to ensure prompt evaluation of a situation, and efficient resolution in a production Hadoop environment. He / She must perform initial triage, identify immediate solution and permanent fix based on the root cause analysis.
Responsibilities
Hands on Experience in Hadoop (HDFS and Yarn) , Hive , Impala , Kafka , HBASE and Spark is must on cloudera distribution CDH6.5 and above
Responsible for Hadoop Production environment which includes Hadoop (HDFS and YARN), Hive, Spark, SOLR, Oozie, Kafka, Nifi, Hbase etc and Must be able troubleshoot any issue across multiple Hadoop ,Kafka ,HBase and Spark clusters
Primary production support for analytical data ETL jobs, and Near Real-time streaming and processing jobs within Hadoop environment.
Troubleshoot and analyze complex production problems related to Hadoop Services, data, network file delivery, application issues independently, and provide solutions to recovery. Drive and participate in postmortems to avoid repeated incidents.
Drive triage calls and solve problems related to the Hadoop Core services and Cloudera Manager services/servers to prevent problem recurrence; Monitor & Evaluate Hadoop Platform health & alerts with the goal of platform is stable 24*7.
Collaborate with the Hadoop ETL development team members, Hadoop Platform teams and Business analysts to resolve complex data design issues/provide optimal solutions that meet business requirements and benefit system performance.
Should have experience around HIVE data file permission , sentry and HMS ; Impala query tuning
Must have worked on DR setup for Hadoop Platform and its data ; Snapshot policy and data recovery from snapshot , DISCP data copy , BDR or any other data recovery bid data tools should have experienced it
Identify and implement operational best practices and process improvements within the following functional areas: Audit, Risk, Change, Event detection, Incident Management, Problem management, Vulnerability Management, Technical Refresh, Tools and Application Support.
Should articulate and communicate the issue , solution details well with US and India management ; Keep production support documentation up to date and build process around it that meets audit requirements
Should be expert with ITIL process for Incident/change/problem management and must have managed audit process already around ITIL audit requirement
Requirements
Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
Certifications, If Any: Not Mandatory
Experience Range: 10 – 14 years
Foundational skills:
Experience in CDH and CDP Hadoop and troubleshooting in Production support Environment
Experience on L1, L2 & L3 level support in Hadoop Platform and Applications ; Hadoop Application and Platform Support experience
Yarn job debugging and troubleshooting experience is mandatory.
Having experience in query performance tuning and resource utilization tuning.
Must have Experience in dealing complex issues in hive, impala, kafka and Hbase.
Technical knowledge on relational databases ,data warehousing and SQL skills
Architecture knowledge of Hadoop Services
ETL tools: Syncsort dmx-h ,Informatica , data stage
