Position description:Collaborates with senior management to articulate the purpose and value of the risk management processes for the business and ensure they are well integrated within the business structure and decision making processes of the businesses
Primary Responsibilities:
We are looking for a talented analyst with sound knowledge and exposure in climate risk domain for one of our global Investment Banking Clients. Monitoring and reporting internally emerging regulatory changes and/or best practice developments to help keep the team up-to-date in this rapidly evolving field
Assist with the management of the integration of climate-related risks into the traditional risk types such as credit, operational risk and market risk. Performing data analysis, including both non-financial (e.g. climate-related impacts) and financial modelling, and interpreting information gathered to identify relevant climate risks and opportunities. Provide data analysis and data processing tools for both internal and external data Staying abreast of the developments in climate science and how this is relevant to, or how it is translating into tools and practices used in financial services and for clients
Support the work to evolve bank’s climate change policy position development, taking into account stakeholder expectations, industry trends and peer activity
Educational qualifications preferred
Category: Master in Finance or Technology or Numerical field. Relevant certifications preferred.
Required work experience
Years of experience: 8 to 13

– Mentors junior team members to deliver excellent service- – Builds and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with support functions to exchange risk and control information to enhance the understanding of key risk exposures and their management- – May lead a team-
Required Competencies:
– Ensures that the business meets its regulatory and legislative requirements through the deployment and monitoring of appropriate risk appetite statements- – Creates, implements and monitors compliance standards and practices to ensure the business is operating under a proper set of internal controls-
Required Knowledge:Conducts multiple risk and compliance assessments covering a broad array of disciplines simultaneouslyAble to grasp the complexities and differences in methodologies, standards, processes and workflow tools to support the businessDemonstrates an ability to objectively assess and restructure risks without negating business opportunities.
Required Skills: – Experience of working in climate change policy, strategy or advisory in financial services or an industry with climate change relevance
– Excellent data manipulation, analysis and visualization skills. Knowledge in dealing with climate risk data and analytics is an advantage – Experience of working with climate data or climate models – Knowledge and understanding of banking regulations in relation to climate risk – Ability to understand and execute programming code such as R, Python, SASExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills
