Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Python & ETL
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Principal Consultant, Python-ETL
Key Responsibilities:
Develop ETL data pipelines with Python, SQL, and other languages.
Containerization of micro-services for SaaS products using Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, and python web-frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI)
Development of data-services and application programming interfaces (API’s) using REST and OpenAPI.
Wrangling data from disparate systems and sources such as RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL), HDFS, flat files (FTP/SFTP), Web scraping and API connections.
Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
Build automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines
Required Skills:
Working in a cloud environment and knowledge of how to deploy, test, and develop managed services (PCF/AWS/GitLab)
Experience with web and API frameworks such as Flask/FastAPI with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications
Should have a solid understanding of multiprocessing/multithreading and network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP/SSH)
Familiarity with ORM concepts and packages like SQLAlchemy, Psycopg2, cx_Oracle
Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts and identity management systems like Okta/IAM
Experience in API development and building internal tools
Experience with developing modular, and manageable python code
Linux/Unix command line and shell scripting (bash, csh, etc).
Nice to haves:
Experience building Distributed Data Ingestion applications
Experience consuming and creating APIs.
Deep understanding of SQL and experience with RDMS such as Oracle/PostgreSQL and Snowflake
Experience with developing and maintaining Apache Airflow pipelines
Experience with SCM systems like Git/SVN and CI/CD preferably with GitLab
Experience in developing with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, CSS3 and Angular/Vue frameworks is a plus
BE/B Tech/ MCA/BCA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications/ skills
Excellent working knowledge of the following technologies: Python, Terraform. Sound understanding of Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming, familiarity with Design Patterns. Understanding of Cloud-based application development preferably using Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP Cloud. Hands on experience with multithreaded systems. Experience of iterative/agile development practices. Exposure to working in a global delivery team. Comfortable direct interaction with the business users at all levels.
