As our Lead Software Engineer, you will be a part of the Driver Platform team in Gojek where we build apps that are used by more than a million drivers every day across multiple countries. You will be a part of a fast and energetic team and will be working with some smart minds in solving meaningful real-world problems impacting the lives of millions of driver-partners. We are looking for passionate, entrepreneurial technical leaders with a drive of building scalable applications and teams. In this role you will be responsible for the overall success and growth of your team.

What You Will Do
Independently responsible for the entire lifecycle of medium to high complexity projects
Write and review architecture documents and participates in architecture design sessions with the team seeking and providing constructive feedback
Writes and reviews architecture documents and participates in architecture design sessions with the team seeking and providing constructive feedback
Take major architectural decisions on large project involving multiple teams and team members
Lead multiple streams of work within the team with end-to-end scope that includes starting from technical analysis to final delivery
Collaborate closely with product managers, QA engineers and designers to define product scope, create execution plans and iterate on it
What You Will Need
At least 5 years of experience in Android application development and in-depth and diverse knowledge and understanding of the Android SDK and its internals
Strong grasp on programming languages like Kotlin/Java and their internals
Solid understanding and experience in Android architectures, design patterns, OO design principles, etc.
Experience of doing performance reviews for team members in the past and have worked towards giving them a growth path in their careers.
Strong understanding of software craftsmanship and design principles
About the team
The Driver Platform team is an integral part of the entire Gojek ecosystem. It is responsible for building apps that are used by millions of drivers every day to earn their living. Our apps are operational across multiple countries like Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, etc. and are growing at a rapid pace.
Our team is divided into multiple sub-teams that focus on particular objectives for the drivers. We also work as a “platform team” building features ourselves and also enabling other teams in Gojek to contribute to our codebase. This gives us a unique chance to build excellent engineering processes and practices to support a large scale of developers working on the codebase.
