Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.
Within ES, you’ll be part of Group Operation Technology on the Customer Lifecycle Management program responsible for setting the benchmark for Quality Engineering across the whole program. Group CLM aims to deliver a strategic platform with a simplified architecture based on Fenergo to better enable the bank to on-board, maintain and off-board customers.
As a Lead Test Engineer, you’ll be building the technical and process capabilities that allow teams to take quality to the next level, transforming to a continuous testing model and uplifting the full-product lifecycle, developing tools that make the engineering process better, designing solutions that meet the needs of a wide range of users, and creating well-engineered, scalable, and reliable tests.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
Essential
Deep understanding of software delivery practices and test phases
Expertise with tools for version control and CI/CD and the conversion of existing manual tests to fully automated pipelines with TeamCity, Octopus or Jenkins
Strong knowledge of what needs to be included in unit, integration, and end to end tests and can coach engineers on what needs to be automated.
Experience with a wide variety of test automation tools and frameworks
Experience building and utilising test doubles, test containers and/or virtualised services
Experience with common data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
Good understanding of the cloud infrastructure environment
Desirable
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) would be favourable
Web services, REST/SOAP/XML and API/Service based testing using tools such as POSTMAN and Pact
Selenium, Specflow, TestNG, jUnit, nUnit, Cucumber, SonarQube, Checkmarx, LeanFT, Maven
JIRA, Agile Requirements Designer
GitHub, Stash
C#, Java, NodeJS, Javascript, Python, SQL, shell scripting
Docker
AWS, Azure
