Our Center is looking for an experienced Director. The Director will manage all aspects of the preschool program, including staff supervision, parent communication, child recruitment/enrollment/registration, curriculum development, safety protocols and budgeting. A candidate fluent in English and/or Spanish is preferred.

This is a full-time salaried position (40hrs/week within the hours of 7am-6pm) with a very competitive set of benefits.

We are seeking a leader to help the center grow to the next level, to innovate in ways that continue to move the program forward. Like many other programs, Creative Kids Learning Academy has faced challenges related to the pandemic, but thanks to the work of the amazing teaching staff and the support of parents and CCIS we were able to successfully reopen our program. We have kept our children and staff healthy and we are starting to see new enrollments weekly again. We are very hopeful of our future!

QUALIFICATIONS: This is a list of required/desired qualifications

EEC: Director I or II Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a related subject.

Certified in First Aid and CPR

Masters Degree in Early Childhood or a related subject (Desirable, not required)

Technical Competencies

Experience of working with children under 5

A minimum of 5 years experience operating a child care Center.

Good oral and written communication, literacy and numeracy skills

Demonstrate the ability to listen and coach other staff members

Ability to work as part of a team

Promote a positive attitude to training

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the day to day running of the preschool during business hours.

Ensure compliance with the most current rules and regulations outlined by the COVID-19 Childcare Playbook

Enforce program policies and procedures

Ensure the health and safety of children

Maintain responsive and respectful relationships with children, families and staff

Coordinate curriculum and assessments and prepare school calendar

Manage all staff and volunteers: recruitment, development, background checks, professional development, trainings, direct supervision and evaluations

Seek and implement active marketing strategies

Manage the school website and social media as well as our Brightwheel App.

Lead enrollment and registration efforts

Collaborate with lead administrator on fiscal management, accounting and record-keeping

Develop, articulate and interpret school philosophy and policies to ensure program activities reflect best practices and innovation in child development

Collaborate with teachers on conferences and family meetings

Assume responsibilities as classroom teacher when necessary

Ensure the school meets all requirements set by law (PA state immunization survey, inspections, DHS licensure, CPR certifications, etc.)

Serve as the primary contact person for the Department of Human Services and CCIS

Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development

Coordinate and lead teachers/staff meetings.

Assist with the resolution of issues/queries /complaints within the preschool to a satisfactory conclusion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 46,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
