We are looking for someone who has a passion for process improvement with a good foundation in accounting who is seeking a client facing role with opportunities to work with our local and international clients.The role will offer an unbelievable ability to grow, working alongside thought leaders and building relationships with key suppliers, such as Dext (previously Receipt Bank), who awarded us with Accounting Firm of the Year in November 2020. There will be direct contact with the partner who leads AOS nationally along with opportunities to work alongside other business units, national offices as well as internationally with other Mazars offices.Reporting to the Cloud Accounting Solutions Manager, you will be involved in:Cloud app ecosystem advisory and implementationsProcess improvement projectsVirtual CFO services such as budgeting, forecasting and board reporting using best in class software. Progressing towards holding advisory meetings with key business stakeholdersManagement accounts preparation, month end close processes and dashboard reportingMentoring and coaching junior staff membersLeading the planning, execution and completion of engagements with oversight from the Manager and PartnerAccounts payable and receivable managementProviding cloud solutions training and support services to both clients and colleaguesThe ability to work with different business units and officesCommunicating and dealing with clients and colleagues professionally and courteouslyCollaborating with leading accounting software providers and providing feedback for product developmentReporting in a timely and accurate manner to client queriesKeeping manager informed of progress and any issues arisingResearching, analysing and interpreting dataAbout you: To be a successful Outsourced Finance & Cloud Advisory Senior at Mazars Australia, we are looking for the following attributes:3 – 5 years’ experience working in an accounting related roleCompleted a Bachelor degree (or equivalent)Completed or near completion of CA/CPA/ACCA (or equivalent – financial support and study time provided by Mazars)Hands on and relevant accounting experience in management reporting, dashboard reporting and complex reconciliationsKeen interest in cloud accounting technology and process improvementExperience of Xero or other cloud accounting packages is necessaryKnowledge of cloud accounting apps is beneficialExperience with MYOB, Netsuite, Odoo and other ERP software is beneficialExperience in delegating and reviewing junior team work essentialStrong networking and relationship building skillsExceptional attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately to tight timescalesStrong numerical and IT skillsStrong Microsoft Excel skills, Macro skills would be beneficialExcellent interpersonal and communication skills including report writing skillsDemonstrated problem solving and decision making skillsWilling to lead and learn and be keen and committed in a working environmentWhy Mazars?For those who appreciate culture as much as commercial success, Mazars is the smart choice.
