We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transport Planning & Resource Manager to join us to manage the overall planning, status and service reporting for 2 operational sites in Goole & Doncaster .

The key responsibilities in this role include;

Responsible for working with the Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure the right amount of resource to fulfil the future and current day operations and feedback on trends to help future accuracy.
Ensure optimisation of the fleet and driver utilisation through data and trends.
Build and manage strong relationships with the on site planning team and ensure consistent working between the 2 sites.
Work with the Transport operational teams to ensure correct allocation of resource in line with the plan created
Work with the sub contractor team on resourcing requirements linked to volume and budget
Manage and lead event planning – Christmas, Easter Mothers day etc.

Proven track record of identifying opportunities to reduce costs and maximise efficiency,
Able to demonstrate a positive attitude to change; fostering positive workplace relationships with employees and the customer.
Computer literate – Advanced Excel skills – ESSENTIAL
Commercial acumen – ESSENTIAL
Previous experience in a Transport Planning role – ESSENTIAL
