Springer Nature is rolling out Purchase Orders (POs) for Indirect Procurement across the business with the aim to achieving “No PO – No Pay” for the majority of invoices received.
Initially POs will be entered into the SAP system by this team with the goal to implement Ariba Guided Buying.
This role will support users as required and set up suppliers & templates to enable increased automation and self-service by the business.
This role will also be involved in enabling and supporting the company PO process as well as analyzing spend to identify opportunities for improved supplier terms.
1. Specific requirements:
Education: Any graduate
Experience: 4 – 5 years of relevant experience in Purchasing/Procurement Operations with adequate experience in client facing roles
Strong client service orientation and Sound Knowledge and operational experience in of S4 Hana and SAP Ariba Procurement related modules in Multinational Corporate environment
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Coordination and Inter-personal skills
Good analytical and decision making skills
Technical Skill: Expert Knowledge of MS Office suite

3. Job Responsibilities:
Liaising with internal business partners and external vendors
Competent execution of S4 Hana , Ariba workflows related to Procurement activities of Springer Nature
Purchase Order support (Order placement and order acknowledgement)
Entering/Uploading contracts into SAP
Procurement reporting and planning (forthcoming contract expiries & renewals)
Getting quotations, making comparisons and processing order based on the approvals
Analysing / computing price advantage
Handle escalations effectively
Prepare various reports in Excel/PPT for better presentation of the data to Management
