Job Description
VMware Cloud Foundation™ is the cornerstone of VMware’s Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) architecture. The VMware approach to the SDDC delivers a unified infrastructure platform that provides customers with the most flexible, elite hybrid cloud. We build on top of creative compute, network, and storage virtualization offerings to build an automated hybrid cloud. This automation extends to managing the lifecycle of the cloud.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the VMware Cloud Foundation team and help lead the development of a product vision for a best-in-class hybrid cloud offering.
With a solid understanding of the business need, including customer, partner, technology, and internal needs, you will drive initiatives that improve and extend VMware’s hybrid cloud offerings. Success will be measured in driving customer preference based on VMware’s SDDC offerings as a means of deploying hybrid clouds.
Responsibilities cover market strategy, technology vision, product definition, partnering, competitive analysis, and product release management for topics that may range from product features, partner integration, and platform extensibility.
Engage with our customers to develop an understanding of their business needs and market opportunities for our products
Translate customer business needs into product strategy and technology requirements as part of market and product requirements
Engage customers with early release features, actively seek and internalize input from such customers and serve as a voice for the customer with the respective product teams
Working backward from customer needs, and in collaboration with stakeholder teams, develop and launch migrations methods, tools, and prescriptive guidance for internal and external customers. Methods and tools are expected to span both pre-sales activities and post-sales delivery.
Develop mechanisms to capture knowledge, learnings, and migrations patterns, and to share internally and externally with customers and partners.
Instrument and measure customer outcomes, and evolve migrations methods, tools, and guidance to accelerate customer and partner outcomes, while reducing effort and risk.
Identify gaps in migrations methods and tools, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve.
Tailor migrations methods, tools, and guidance for common migrations patterns.
Develop training and enablement necessary for internal and external resources to successfully deliver migrations engagements globally.
Conduct customer briefings, present at customer events,
Work with engineering to deliver a high-quality product offering
Collaborate with Product Marketing in collateral generation for sales & customer enablement
Build unrivaled differentiators for your products based on market analysis & customer feedback promoting these in social media, user groups & conferences

Requirements
A strong customer-first attitude and passion for product design and design thinking
3+ years of Product Management experience in hyper-converged infrastructure or storage domain
Strong analytical skills and a natural predisposition toward data-driven decision-making.
Experience with SaaS-based product and/or services and DevOps workflows
Confident decision-making with the ability to influence internal and external partners
Proven ability to work with sales and sales engineering teams
Excellent social skills and experience leading complex enterprise partnerships
A roll up the sleeves approach to getting the job done
Strong partnering & teaming behavior to bring together diverse views
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities

Preferred
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and MBA are a plus
Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making
