Job Description
SPLUNK ENGINEER
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create complex searches, data models, custom visualization dashboards, reports, and alerts.Collaborate with the team to develop cutting-edge solutions for corporate data collection to Splunk on prem environment
Supporting large-scale deployments with data feeds from multiple data sources to on premise Splunk Cluster.Provide strategic support for Splunk installation, integration, deployment, configuration and maintenance.
Monitoring and maintaining Splunk performance, availability, and capacity.
Design, implement and optimize Splunk applications.Research, assess, build, test, and deploy a Splunk configurations and Splunk technology add-ons that provide solutions to end user requirements.
Automate repetitive tasks using suitable scripts (Python, Shell, Ansible)
Create Custom Visualizations using Java Script, CSS and HTML
Managing premium apps ITSI and Enterprise Security.
Creating and maintaining documentation related to architecture and operational processes for Splunk
Engaging application and infrastructure teams to establish best practices for utilizing Splunk data and visualizations.Maintains, upgrades, advises and cross-trains team members on the operation of the Splunk platform, provide Splunk product expertise, assisting and advising management on issues related to the platform
Mentoring members of the technical staff to support and assist in Splunk-related activities
Maintaining regulatory awareness and compliance.
Undertakes day-to-day operational and user support activities.
Tracking work effectively via Agile methods.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Information Security, or a closely related field.Splunk Poweruser or Admin Certifications are desired but not requiredSelf-motivated and self-educating, yet willing and able to work collaboratively with both customers and fellow Splunk engineers
PREFERRED:4+ years of hands-on experience implementing Splunk and maintaining its operations.Have hands-on experience using Python, ansible, Java Script, HTML and CSS
SKILLS:Having excellent Communication and Organization skills
