The Opportunity:
You will be part of a team underwriting hospitality property risks for brokers across Australia. You will work closely alongside your Underwriting colleagues towards sales and retention targets set for the portfolio by providing sound underwriting solutions, support and thereby contributing to the company profitability.
Key Responsibilities will Include:
Your main focus will be servicing a renewal book of clients alongside an experienced Underwriter
Keep brokers appropriately advised of all matters relating to their insurance renewal, prepare and execute policy documentation and implementing brokers instructions
Review of completed Property Risk Surveys, engagement with brokers on Risk Recommendations and follow up process for completion and up to date underwriting risk records
Taking on extra responsibilities as you progress within the role and gain increased underwriting experience
Ensure strict compliance as per underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures for all activities undertaken by One Underwriting
Distributing renewal quotes following full underwriting review process to brokers, follow up for brokers bind instruction and maintaining insured underwriting client file records
Building rapport with and providing a professional and effective service to intermediaries and key stakeholders
About You:
We are keen to hear from people who bring positivity, exceptional client service skills, high energy levels and a desire to be part of an ambitious yet down to earth, fun team that has consistently achieved their goals. We are also looking for;
Experience working in personal lines insurance, commercial broking or underwriting, as we can teach specifics of the role for the right person
Someone who thrives in a fast paced and highly client focused environment where delivery of expectations is of great importance
An ability to build, develop and maintain positive relationships internally and externally, willing and keen to learn off others
A strong multi tasking who can help manage a large portfolio
