Critical competencies for the SW Dev position would be:
Advanced Python development skills
Proficient in HTTP Web Services and RESTful software development
Experience with one or more relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, etc.)
Intermediate Git/GitHub skills
High level of competency in continuous integration workflows
Communication of progress, plans, and challenges to the rest of the team
Good spoken and written English, capable of creating end-user documentation
Ability to work a schedule with significant overlap with USA-based teammates
Additional desired skills would be:
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux skills (interactive shell, shell scripting, networking, Linux system administration)
Proficiency with one or more Linux container technologies (LXC/LXD/Docker/OpenVZ/etc)
Experience working with OpenStack components (Trove, Cinder, Nova, Glance, Swift)
Experience building, running, and interpreting Jenkins jobs
Development experience in Lua
