Job Description : Seeking an Experienced Engineer to join a highly focused and professional software team engaged in testing and quality assurance of Ethernet controller software & solutions. The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the Layer2 functionality, TCP/IP networking, virtualization technologies, VM management, DPDK, RDMA and hands on experience in Python programming

Primary responsibilities include,

Creation and review of Test strategies, Test designs, Test cases and Test Automation suites

Reviews of design and functional specifications created by development team to understand product functionality

Review User Documentation to ensure it clearly documents product functionality

Work closely with multi-site team of developers and testers to coordinate and execute test activities

Work closely with the development, Devops, and the AE team to ensure a high quality product

Interactions with customers for demos, test qualifications and feedback sessions

Qualifications:
Requirements

Bachelors/Masters of Engineering with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on test experience

Experience testing NIC controller for L2 features, good knowledge of TCP/IP stack, worked

Extensive experience in the development of automation scripts in Python – primarily network and system level programming using Python.

Excellent knowledge in at least one of the OSes (Windows, Linux, ESX. Good knowledge and working experience of OS administration, understanding of OS fundamentals, services and configurations. Hands-on experience with OS specific tests for servers, storage, files systems and network validation.

Experience with network test equipment – Protocol/PCIe Analyzers, Protocol Jammers, Load Generators (Ixia, Ixchariot, Medusa tools etc)

Should possess excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel tasks, and projects

Strong knowledge of various types of testing such as functional, negative, boundary, performance, scale, longevity testing, etc.

Good communication and documentation skills are required.

Need to be an Independent, critical thinker and a self-starter.
