The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Sales Executive to join our National Sales Enablement Team. The Sales Executive will be responsible for outbound calls & generating new business opportunities through leads as part of the new client acquisition activity in our Commercial business.
This is achieved through working closely with the National Sales Team, Marketing Team, Client Managers, National Account Director and Regional Directors, and engaging with sales and servicing resources across Aon. You will be at the fore front of creating and managing the new business pipeline for the division.
Key responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the achievement of national new business budgets / performance benchmarks through successful generation of new business leads and expansion of our sales pipeline
Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, sharing and coordinating external leads
Engaging with potential clients through cold-calling, pro-active marketing, presentations, networking and any other methods
Organising, planning and researching with various Aon branches to identify new clients/industry segments to focus our lead generation efforts
Monitor, collate and report on results
Ensure representation of Aon within the business community by seeking and accepting appropriate opportunities to present the company’s interests and perspectives
Uphold the image and reputation of the company as an ethical member of the community and industry by communicating the company’s values internally and externally, and by monitoring adherence to ruling statutory, legislative and commercial practices
About you:
A creative, solutions focused thinker, you are hungry, proactive and ready to take ownership in this well supported and key role. To be successful in this role you will display:
At least a 3 years’ track record of success in business development/ sales management
Proven experience in a similar business development/ lead generation role for a professional/ financial services firm
General Insurance sector experience would be an advantage
Highly self-motivated with a creative solutions focused mind-set
Strong negotiation and influencing skills with ability to build instant rapport
A high degree of resilience and an outcome focused approach supported by your ability to present to a broad audience effectively
