EY- Strategy and Transaction – Transaction Analytics – Manager
Within SaT, Transaction Diligence (TD) services encompass the strategic development and execution of an appropriate transaction structure, which includes execution of financial due diligence, IPOs and restructuring of banking loans. Our team works to understand profit drivers and trends, challenge assumptions of future performance, and assists with purchase agreements and post-closing transaction matters. TD professionals work on buy-side diligence and provide sell-side diligence services. This helps clients maximize value, mitigate risks and achieve their strategic goals, in acquisition and divestiture deals.
As part of TD, we have a core group of techno-functional experts focusing on applying Analytics as part of Financial Due Diligence projects.
The opportunity
We’re looking for Managers with a business acumen, good understanding of financial statements, hands-on experience on data and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI DAX, Tableau, PowerQuery, SQL, Advanced Excel/ VBA, etc. experience in working with financial business users. Your key responsibilities
8-10 years of Hands-on experience in Data mining, ETL and Visualization tools
Managing and participating in Analytics engagements and leading engagements which are complex and EY client critical
Identifying the best solution to handle large amounts of financial/ operational data
Performing key financial analysis such as revenue/ cost analysis, profitability, price-volume, cohort analysis and drawing insights
Understand sector specific analysis like churn analysis, retention analysis, cohort, SKU analysis, Market basket, price volume, cash collection analysis etc
Identifying potential red-flags/ key areas of deeper diligence analysis
Drive regional growth by establishing strong working relationship with the assigned region
Support in team admin, project allocation and reporting activities
Support L&D activities to drive learning of new skills in the team
Leading/ building go-to-market Analytics solutions for EY clients
Leading key automation/ cost-saving initiatives
Performing research on industry and organization
Reviewing the work of staff and senior employees
Managing a team of Analytics professionals
Identifies, develops, and implements best practices in projects.
Conducting timely performance reviews for staff and senior employees
Skills and attributes for success
Relevant hands-on experience on data and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI DAX, Tableau, PowerQuery, SQL, Advanced Excel/ VBA, domain specific analytics
Good understanding of financial statements, financial/ operational KPIs of various sectors
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong drive to take new initiatives and ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
Advanced knowledge and experience in any of the following sectors will be an added advantage – Financial Services, Technology, Retail, Consumer Products, Power and Utilities and Life Science
Excellent teaming skills.
Willingness to travel, when necessary
To qualify for the role, you must have
MBA and B.E/B.Tech from a premier institute with 8-10 years of experience
At least 8 years of relevant experience in data and visualization tools
Ideally, you’ll also have
Project management skills
Client handling skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
