Job Description : Introduction
As a Senior Software Developer,
You have developed strategies and long-term plans for researching new or projected operating systems and complete software architecture and provided recommendations.Conceptualized, researched, analyzed and proposed new software architecture designs and evaluated and recommended improvements to existing software architecture.
Coordinated and/or provided technical direction on integration of new complex technologies with overall software architecture. Preferably worked in SaaS environment.

Your Role and Responsibilities

We’re looking for an experienced, motivated hands-on engineer who brings ideas about large-scale design, security, Cloud, UI design and mobile technologies; As a software engineer, you’ll apply your deep expertise in designing and developing test strategy and code to deliver our world class UEM solution. You need to be versatile, display leadership qualities and open minded to take on new problems that our customers face.

IBM MaaS360 is a market leader in the Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) domain. This 100% SaaS product is delivered from 10 globally distributed data centers that service 16K+ tenants and support 5M+ devices.

Ideal candidate should be able to:

Analyze the business requirements and craft detailed level of test scenarios/cases/plan
Design test data for the test cycle
Fundamental understanding of the Agile Test Process
Carry out functional and regression testing
Automate the mundane to avoid manual regression in the future
Must be eternally curious about the systems, test practices and the domain
Knowledgeable about the testing techniques, where and how to put them to effective use
Write concise bug reports
Proactively work with the developers to get the bugs resolved
Produce summary reports at the end of each test cycle
Troubleshoot and debug issues using logs or any available artefact
Look for and solve problems
A keeper of lessons learned in each test cycle and use it as inputs for future cycles
A vocal advocate of the customer who will move mountains to make things work

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Knowledge of Operating System fundamentals is desired
Technical knowledge of setting up of test environments and test data
Knowledge of testing a web application using various tools including accessibility tools
Knowledge of testing APIs using Postman and automate using Rest Assured
Knowledge of querying databases, look for backend issues
Knowledge of testing mobile applications will be a plus
Hands-on knowledge of setting up CI/CD will be a plus
Hands-on experience in Performance and Security testing will be a plus
Knowledge of SSL, certificates, system admin technologies like Active Directory, LDAP, Exchange Server etc… will be a huge plus

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

In-depth Java programming skills
A clean code developer with deeper understanding OOPS concepts and its application
Knowledge of Unix commands and Shell scripting
Understanding of Unit testing or previous work experience will be a plus
Hands-on experience in implementing or using any automation library including but not limited to Selenium, Appium, Winium, Sikuli, Rest Assured and Junit, Cucumber, TestNG runners.
Experience in Performance and Security testing tools like Jmeter, Fiddler,
