Job Description:
Securities ServicesCross-Product Development team is responsible for developing vision and strategic roadmap for the evolution of cross-product tools, processes, and channels. Development of tools and processes for simplification, standardization and optimization across People, Products, Process and Systems in support of the breadth of the Securities Services products is key focus area for the group.
This role is for a Product Development Associate to join the Cross Product Backbone team to work on our Internal Workstations Team focusing on operations and Client Service applications.
Developing solutions with a sharp focus on business benefits, client service, and controls is a key responsibility of this role. The candidate will work in close partnership with the Client Services, Securities Services Operations, Product Development, and various Technology teams to execute as per strategic roadmap and ensure delivery of projects is successfully completed according to agreed timelines and budget. It is critical that the candidate has end-to-end ownership of the product & process, and the ability to interpret how alternative courses of action impact downstream processes and groups.
This role will identify opportunities to improve efficiency and requires a deep understanding of design for digital products and services of all kinds, sizes, shapes and contexts.
The candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the deliverables, including reporting to senior management and take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery.
Responsibilities:
As a Product Development Associate, you’ll be responsible for project work as well as helping shape the direction of our teams. Working as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll be involved in complex projects and a range of items including:
Program/Project management & delivery of complex Securities Services initiatives
Drive development of internal workstations programs for use across securities services teams
Manage dependencies on other product development and technology teams and to ensure seamless delivery
In partnership with technology and operations teams define implementation schedule for product build out, production deployment and roll-out, in alignment with business priorities, ensuring product is delivered on time and on budget.
Interact with all levels of management and operations to review, understand, document, and communicate business/program needs, risks, constraints, issues and objectives.
Developing appropriate ongoing connection and buy in with the relevant cross functional stakeholders.
Identify and manage risks/issues; create solutions to address limitations while minimizing time to market and minimizing control/operational risk.
Qualifications/Experience:
A proven track record of project delivery, effectively resolving challenges to ensure timely delivery and achieve business benefits
Analytical skills, problem solving, strong critical thinking and decision-making skills based upon fact and business/industry knowledge
Adept at stakeholder management and demonstrated ability to engage with diverse set of stakeholders
Excellent communication skills in all forms, verbal and written; executive level presentation skills a plus
Ability to drive an agenda and consensus across multi-functional and cross-regional teams
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
User-centric design approach that involves rapid testing and iteration of designs
Team-work: Develops and sustains effective and cooperative working relationships with peers, managers and other internal or external stakeholders
Flexibility/adaptability (ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus)
Prior experience in Securities Services business areas will be highly preferred.
