Job Summary
As a part of the Communications and Engagement (CE) team within EY’s BMC Agency, the Senior Associate (CE) works closely with the regional communication leader to create and manage key internal communication tasks. The Senior Associate also manages, reviews, updates and migrates content from legacy systems onto a new intranet platform, supporting stakeholders across EY’s global business in creating and optimizing new content where needed.
Roles and responsibilities:
Support stakeholders/site owners with the new intranet updates as and when required
Manage bi-weekly SharePoint site updates
Support the regional editor in production of daily news articles
Edit and publish content – including text, images and embedded media such as videos and social feeds – for EY’s new global intranet
Ensure compliance with web templates, design, and editorial guidelines
Make editorial decisions on placement and prioritization of content
Source new images where needed
Identify and escalate issues or required decisions quickly, with a focus on getting the work done
Continually review and optimize priority content based on its performance against KPIs; stakeholder, project team and audience feedback; and changes to the platform or approach
Support user journeys by cross-promoting related content and making recommendations for improvement of page designs to incorporate linked content (from elsewhere on the intranet, other EY platforms, or external sources such as social media)
Share ideas and innovation to improve site design and functionality, as well as content development processes
Technical skills/tools
Experience in online editing, publishing, working on a CMS, and/or closely related fields
Excellent editing skills and strong attention to detail
Excellent command of written US English
Strong understanding of digital content and publishing best practices across a range of media (text, images and video)
Experience with sourcing appropriate images and performing basic editing
Able to write engaging web copy, including synopses teasers, and that drive traffic
Basic HTML familiarity
Basic understanding of search engine optimization
Able to adapt content to a wide variety of local and role-specific audiences
Experience working virtually, in a large global organization, across time zones and with different cross-functional teams
Strong project and time management
Able to work independently and proactively, completing multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-pace environment
Strong relationship management skills, including advising and guiding stakeholders on best practices for digital content
Strong influencing skills, including problem-solving and diplomatically managing competing interests
Collaborative approach – used to working with others across a wide range of disciplines and levels of seniority
