Job Description : As Senior Category Manager, Distribution, you will source sustainable Transport and Logistics solutions and establish strong category expertise within the Distribution global team.

This is a permanent role based in our London office.

Core Responsibilities:Provide active leadership and influencing among stakeholders, finance and suppliers to drive companywide cost initiatives in the Transport and Logistics spendLiaise with stakeholders and business partners to develop and implement the company priorities related to Sustainability, Productivity and ResilienceDevelop and implement Transport category strategies to enable and sustain the future volume and network development in the RegionsLead the Sustainability agenda with Transport Service ProvidersBe responsible for the relationship with Logistics Service providers (contracts, performance, improvement and development)Build market insights to identify trends and translate them into category strategiesSupport in driving a global dashboard with key indicators and monthly dialogues providing comprehensive updates to key stakeholders

As the LEGO Group expands globally, our procurement organization is expanding as well, especially in the area of Indirect Materials & Services sourcing.

The role is a critical Procurement function to help support our expansion plans and network development globally.

As a key member of the IM&S Global Procurement team, the individual needs to be self-driven, able to navigate in uncertain and challenging situations, promote collaboration and encourage innovation.

The primary function of this role is to establish strong category and relationship management for Distribution /Transport category spend overall.

The focus of the role is to be a trusted partner for the business and to actively support the implementation of the company strategy on multiple dimensions like Cost saving, Supply Chain resilience, Sustainability, Risk mitigation and Innovation.

Key challenges for the function include the ability to understand and manage complex scenarios in a market that is evolving at high speed, to lead strategic projects through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and to lead the sustainability agenda with Transport Service providers.
Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business Management with preferable focus on Supply chain, Engineering, Legal or Finance. You will have extensive experience in transport and logistics category management experience in complex multinational companies.

In addition, you will bring:
Global/Regional category management experience and a solid understanding of the transport and logistics businessStrong understanding of procurement processes and the Distribution / Transport vendor landscapeEstablished competence in developing Sustainability within Transport and Logistics categoryExperience in negotiating complex agreements with industry leadersAbility to effectively communicate, steer and influence at all levels in the companyExperience with Supplier Relationship ManagementAbility to build market insights/trends and translate them into procurement category strategies.
