Job Description : The Company3R Finance are a young, fast growing, innovative business that provide finance and outsourced back-office services to many recruitment companies across the UK.The RoleWe require a credit controller to ensure that debts for recruitment services are paid promptly. The role will require attention to detail, ensuring that complex invoicing procedures are followed, and relationships are established with key contacts across our client base.The credit controller will be involved with assessing risk by reviewing credit reports. Risk will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and concerns escalated to our account management team. All credit risk is insured, and our credit controller will be responsible for ongoing liaison with our insurance company.Although much of our credit control process is automated, it is an important requirement to contact certain accounts by telephone. The credit controller should establish the reason for late payments and promptly provide information to enable payments to be settled straight away.On rare occasions when late payments are protracted, we may need to take legal action. The credit controller will be responsible for managing the escalation process, instructing solicitors to send letters to late payers and preparing case information for solicitors if required.The role will also include providing support and cover to other areas of the accounts team. These duties may include but are not limited to processing timesheets, payroll of contractors and client billing.The credit controller will report directly to the Finance Manager.The ProfileSuitable candidates should have spent time working as a dedicated credit controller, ideally for a company handling payments of +£25m pa. Experience of working in or an understanding of the recruitment industry would be beneficial but not essential.Although primary responsibilities pertain to credit control, experience of payroll and billing and other functions within an accounts role would be highly advantageous.Our processes are largely automated, so it is very important for a credit controller to be highly proficient with a variety of IT systems. Most credit control work will use our internally developed systems, but the role also requires regular use of Xero, Excel and a variety of portals used by our legal & insurance partners.Successful candidates must demonstrate that they are confident telephone users and are able to use their own initiative to contact relevant people and calmly deal with sensitive issues. Great communication skills are also necessary to deal with colleagues in the accounts team and our operations team and the recruitment agency customers that we are working on behalf of.The PackageSalary would be in the region of £25,000 depending on experience.
