Primary Responsibilities:
Deploying a hadoop cluster, maintaining on-prim MapR hadoop cluster, adding and removing nodes using cluster monitoring tools. Implementing, managing and administering the overall hadoop infrastructure.
Takes care of the day-to-day running of Hadoop clusters
Work closely with the database team, network team, BI team and application teams to make sure that all the big data applications are highly available and performing as expected.
Capacity planning and estimating the requirements for lowering or increasing the capacity of the hadoop cluster.
Backup and recovery tasks
Resource and security management
Troubleshooting application errors and ensuring that they do not occur again
Excellent knowledge of UNIX/LINUX OS
Good understanding of OS concepts, process management and resource scheduling
Automation(bash/Python scripting)

Required Qualifications:
MAPR or Big Data Hadoop Admin
4 – 10 years of hadoop administration experience
Mapr hadoop admin or Big Data Hadoop with Linux server, Shell Scripting or Hadoop Admin (Cloudera/Hortonworks)
Automation (Bash/Python)
Preferred Qualifications:
System( linux admin) experience
Ansible playbook experience
Automation (Bash/Python) experience
