About the Team:
The Data Management Center of Excellence (CoE), a key pillar within the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) CTO organization is the common theme across all CTO areas for database and data management technologies. The Data Management CoE helps bridge the application and technology layers within the ECS organization.
Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with a background on developing and deploying solutions to assist in business decision-making. Key activities will include creating machine learning proofs-of-concept, model development and fine-tuning, and presentation of solutions and findings to both internal and external customers.
Experience / Role Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in one of the following courses: Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
Drive all the phases of Data Management Center of Excellence (CoE) data science projects from initial business understanding to final Deployment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with focus on application development.
Strong attention to detail.
Understanding of reporting & data visualization tools SAP Analytics Cloud, Business Objects, and Tableau.
Ability to write and speak clearly to easily communicate complex ideas.
Good stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Relevant experiences in data modeling and using data analytical tools and techniques (e.g., Python, SQL, Hadoop, R).
Intermediate understanding of databases such as SAP HANA, SQL Server, or Oracle.
Familiarity with statistical models and data mining algorithms.
Ability to understand Business requirements and project objectives.
Ability to understand and assess project data.
Ability to prepare and organize data for data modeling.
Modeling skills: Use adequate modeling techniques to produce relevant models.
Evaluation skills: Assess quality and robustness of models to meet business objectives and adjust models.
Deployment skills: Deploy models and share results with stakeholders.
GOOD TO HAVE:
Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques such as Natural Language Processing / Text Analytics, Random Forest, Boosting, etc.
Experience in using advanced machine learning algorithms and models such as: classification, regression, clustering, decision trees, etc.
Coding knowledge and experience with several languages: C, C++, Java, etc.
Domain knowledge in areas such as: ITIL Processes, Finance, or Manufacturing.
Understanding of cloud computing and data privacy concepts.
