As Senior Engineering Director, you’ll support success by:
As the Senior Director Engineering, you will be responsible for the deliverables of the Cloud Services team in Chennai in order to ensure quality deliverables and alignment with this business vision of HID Global and Assa Abloy. You will ensure that these Cloud platforms are designed using a contemporary technology stack and executed using a mature Agile methodology. As one of the top leaders in Chennai, you would be expected to comport yourself in a suitable manner.
You should be able to manage multiple teams with differing objectives working with multiple Business Units. This position is accountable for all engineering deliverables under their aegis and entails, but is not limited to, activities commonly carried out during the product development process. You should also be willing to travel to interact with other HID and Assa Abloy stakeholders.
Your duties and responsibilities will be as follows
Provide leadership to development teams and other stakeholders
• Provide strategic leadership and thinking to the long term strategy and vision for the Cloud Platform. • Foster a culture of flawless execution and timely deliveries
Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work onProvide proactive leadership and support in mitigation of impediments impacting delivery of team goals
Be the champion for Agile best practices and new trendsAttract and develop talent through rigorous and selective hiring practicesMotivate and mentor team membersLead by example through participation and involvement in key programs and initiatives.
Assure that the cloud service team’s technology solutions, support and services align with the company’s short- and long-term goals and create unsurpassed value for clients
Should be able to understand and lead teams delivering Next Gen Cloud Architectures, solutions and cloud based offerings.
What we appreciate about your background:
Bachelor’s from college or university (Master’s degree or additional training preferred); or at least ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, including supervisory experience.
Significant demonstrable knowledge of the fields of security, PKI, embedded engineering, automated testing, project management and estimation.Good Understanding of Delivering Cloud and Mobility based SAAS offerings to End Customers
Knowledge of Smart Card protocols and specifications such as ISO7816, ISO14443, Global Platform would be beneficial.Good understanding of cryptography and cryptographic algorithms (symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, DES, AES, RSA, ECC) would be beneficialIn depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles. Should know SAFe, Kanban and ScrumOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, presentation and leadership skillsAbility to read and interpret specifications, etc. and to respond directly and succinctly in customer centric language and conceptsExcellent results oriented, data driven, highly analytical, strategic thinker, with a good balance of process and planning skills with an attention to detailsSharp analytical and proactive risk mitigation abilitiesCreative thinker with a vision and a passion to create something cutting edge.
International travel will be required; therefore, employee must possess or can acquire a valid passport.
