Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review of all content acquired as well as created for Digital as well as Broadcast including, movies, shows, commercials, promos, short format content and social media from a content compliance perspective.
Pre-empt identification of compliance code (OTT and Broadcast), internal policy, government and regulatory policy and potentially legal violations. Protect the brand’s interest by flagging potential risk of defamation, copyright/ trademark among others in advance.
Day to day co-coordination with content, marketing and ops teams for approval of content.
Study and develop a thorough knowledge of Indian content codes for Digital as well as television programs, movies and commercials (like OTT, BCCC guidelines, CBFC, ASCI etc.)
QUALIFICATION
2-5 (SE)
Professional background: Candidates with existing S&P backgrounds preferred. Please look at existing GEC S&P teams first followed by OTT S&P teams (like tik-tok). Can explore profiles from content writing, editing, development, marketing, but essentially related to media background.
Education: Bachelors or master’s degree in Media/ History/ Sociology/ Literature or any other field.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Advanced command on English language (written/ spoken). knowledge of multiple languages like Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu will be an added advantage.
Excellent general knowledge and know-how of politics, religion and social topics.
Knowledge of local customs and sensitivity towards social/ human issues.
Good presentation and communication skills
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Genuine penchant for English language content on TV and OTT platforms. Should be up to date with the current Indian OTT universe’s happenings.
Should be well-aware of current news and affairs.
Should have an eye for detail, be organized & self-motivated.
Should be high on personal accountability and take charge of tasks at hand.
Should have solution orientation and good interpersonal skills
Should be able to work through demanding and dynamic broadcast timelines.
