We now seek an outstanding candidate to join the JAPAC Growth team, impacting our user growth efforts in emerging markets in Asia. This role requires a good understanding of the region. The role is perfect for a digital marketer that has a strong strategic mentality and understands how to increase both free and paid users in the region.

The role will be based in our Singapore office but may require occasional travel to other Spotify offices and markets in the region. The team is part of the bigger Freemium Department, with the mission to bring Spotify to more users across the globe.
What You’ll Do
Your mission will be to implement and roll out the growth strategy with the goal of driving free users’ growth
Your main objectives are to capture, engage and retain free users on platform to increase our monthly active users
You will implement CRM and marketing campaigns on owned media channels to drive free user growth across different stages of the life cycle. You will use funnel data to analyse and identify key user moments and opportunities that may impact user KPIs
Drive planning, test cell needs, agency briefing & asset creation, asset trafficking on owned channels (email, in-app notifications, etc.), campaign analysis, and overall project management
Collaborate and align with other teams in User Growth and Consumer Marketing to amplify top-of-funnel campaigns to drive maximum growth on platform
Provide feedback loops to global growth teams to show progress of local programs and integrate into automated programs
You will work closely with other teams, especially local Growth and Consumer Marketing but also Artist and label partnerships, and business development. That’s how you ensure maximum growth across all the business levers that we have at our disposal
You should understand customer, industry, and competitor trends/behaviours in the region (macro, external, internal). Based on that, you will identify growth opportunities

Who You Are

You have at least 5 years of working experience with a few years of relevant industry experience in an online consumer business (streaming services, e-commerce, online media or a tech startup)
You have worked on digital marketing campaigns and CRM before
You are curious in why’s and what’s around user behaviours and enjoy the process of analysing, testing, implementing and scaling
You become comfortable with rolling up your sleeves and implementing things yourself – no matter if it’s programming an email, pulling some queries or quickly adjusting an image in Photoshop. We’re looking for self-starters who want to get things done and don’t wait for others to do the job
You are very comfortable using various tools to analyze, test, and implement online marketing activities (e.g. Google Analytics, email management/CRM) and possess the core technical skills needed to get the job done or are otherwise a quick learner
Good knowledge and insights into the online consumer market and media landscape in emerging markets in Asia (Indonesia, India etc).
You are comfortable working remotely from other team members, but even so, lead to stay in sync and influence internal partners by being an excellent communicator
You have a proven record of leading and implementing projects independently and getting things done in a cross-functional organization. You will not always have direct control of all the resources, but you still get the job done
You hold a Bachelor’s Degree or a similar degree from university
