Job Description : Summary:
Nutanix Hybrid cloud services organization is building V1 services that are critical for the future of Nutanix and its customers. To effectively build, deliver and operate these services, a highly scalable multi cloud platform is necessary. We are looking for a strong passionate engineering manager who can join us in our journey to build this multi cloud platform to launch our hybrid managed offerings. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team building products and services from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
Design & deliver the cloud integration engineering processes & technologies for bringing cloud services into production
Design & implement relevant dev-ops processes to integrate internal services for cloud speed delivery
Bring hands-on experience & technical leadership for automation of services, tools and tests
Participate actively in critical deliverables by bringing your creative solutions to identify & mitigate project risks
Lead a team of talented engineers at multiple geo sites by active hiring, coaching, mentoring and retaining talent
Collaborate with other engineering leaders, architects, program managers to work through the dependencies and deliver excellence in the form of software services
Requirements:
BS/ MS in Computer Science or a related field
10+ years of experience with minimum 3+ years of management experience
Proven hands on technical leadership in building and operating public or hybrid cloud services.
Developed products/services in microservices model and have good understanding of SaaS life cycle from service development to rollouts and live site support
Experience and familiarity with one or more cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP
Hands-on experience using cloud technologies like containers, kubernetes, openshift and dev-ops related tools (CI/CD, gitops, configuration management etc.)
Experience in one of following programming languages is preferred: Python, GoLang, NodeJS, ReactJS, Java
Excellent track record in collaborating across geographically distributed organizations, delivering critical high impact projects, mentoring and growing engineers at different levels.
