The key focus of the role is to deliver projects which require a high level of technical understanding, or construction skills or, the design and delivery of interior design related works.The role also requires a creative, flexible approach with strong communication skills and stakeholder management.Full-Time ongoing position. Salary $85,781 plus superannuation.About the TeamThe Capital projects team is responsible delivering minor capital works which require a high level of technical understanding or, construction skills or, the delivery of interior design related works. The team also includes asset management services and BIM management.Your Skills and ExperienceProven experience and understanding of current technology, operating systems and applications; and the demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technology and systems, including upgrades and changes, within a reasonable timeframeExtensive experience in scoping, developing, and implementing a broad range of facility improvement and renewal projects in a complex environmentExperience in the delivery of projects within a technical environment including IT infrastructure, communications, theatrical or the wider entertainment industryExperience in the modification of interior and exterior facilities, fittings, structure and services; plant and technical equipment upgradesExtensive experience in identifying and managing all aspects of project riskProven track record of developing constructive relationships by effectively managing the competing demands of diverse stakeholders, interest groups and issuesExperience and knowledge of statutory requirements and regulations, in particular the application of OH&S procedures, the Building Code of Australia, and Environmental Protection standardsAbility to work under strict deadlines and high-pressure environments with a high degree of customer serviceExemplary written and verbal communications skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSound financial management, reporting and data managementExperience managing, developing and maintaining budgetsProven experience in preparing and reviewing detailed technical information such as drawings, manuals and other relevant dataSound judgement and decision-making skillsExceptional organisation and time management skillsAbout Arts Centre MelbourneThe land on which Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Arts Centre Melbourne sits has long been a place of gathering, storytelling, song, ceremony, celebration and commemoration for First Nations people.The People of the Kulin Nations have gathered on the site for thousands of years and continue to do so today.
