The Company:
Our client is an award-winning and highly established volume home building company and due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced volume home building construction supervisor to join their busy construction team in Melbourne’s busy West, North-West and Geelong.
Vacancies Available Now:
North-West: Melton, Rockbank, Plumpton
West: Truganina, Tarneit
Geelong
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Manage a number of new home builds in construction concurrently.
Up to 12-15 houses in construction at any one time on average
Combination of mostly single and some double-storey homes
Allocate materials and trades to job sites.
Ensure timely construction of new homes within budget
Effectively communicate with clients, trades and management in a professional manner.
Construction of new homes are carried out safely and comply with company processes and procedures.
Inspecting completed projects to ensure a high standard of quality
Maintaining and updating company systems
Reporting to management regarding onsite activity
Negotiating with subcontractors and coordinating onsite works
Identifying and resolving problems throughout the construction process.
Role Requirements:
At least 2 years experience as a Construction Site Supervisor within the volume home building industry.
Tertiary qualifications within building and construction
Trade background will be highly advantageous
Demonstrated experience within the construction sector with excellent building knowledge
Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to build a strong rapport with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
Proven track record of problem-solving
Team player
Excellent IT skills and computer literacy with construction-specific software packages.
Commitment to WHS principles and practices
