Amazon’s International Technology organization is expanding its software engineering team in Bangalore. We are searching for smart, energetic and passionate Software Development Engineers to solve complex technical problems, build and manage smart engineering teams and manage programs and stakeholders distributed across the globe.

About the team
We develop EU first retail solutions that are built to scale to other markets (applicable World Wide). We achieve this goal by creating simple and elegant experiences, working across many Amazon services and workflows, all the way through to responsive website development using Amazon’s newest website platform architectures and front-end technologies. We innovate and build ground-up solutions facing Consumers/Selling Partners/Amazon Agents, providing new design and delivery opportunities. We deliver solutions in the following areas:
Regionalization – Solution to help our customers list and sell products in multiple Marketplaces
Selection – Solutions to enhance product or item addition/management experience
Communication – Solutions to establish variety of chat channels between Selling Partners and Amazon
Selling Partner Negotiations/Planning – Solutions to enhance selling partner experience with Amazon
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or Engineering
Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform)
Knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages a plus
Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
Experience in optimization mathematics (linear programming, nonlinear optimization)
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
Previous technical internship(s) preferred
