Knowledge and experience with wireless technologies/protocols (Wi-Fi/BT/BLE/cellular)
Hands on experience working in Linux/Unix Environment
Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting/debugging skills.

The Role:
In the Connectivity Solutions Group, we are inventing the future for consumer electronics and connectivity and are looking for a software engineer to bring our vision into reality. If you love to be hands on from defining system architecture, concept prototyping, and enabling mass production while working with a world class, highly accomplished team, we would love to talk with you.
In this role, you will be part of an early stage initiative with a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment. You will help in achieving the overall strategy by designing and implementing product features, contributing to the system architecture, and spearheading the best practices that enable a quality product. You will build scalable solutions incorporating cutting edge wireless technologies, smart home devices and cloud services. The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter who is looking for an opportunity to build and grow team and deliver the technical charter.
Key Responsibilities: –
Lead a team to design and develop high scalable and reliable cloud based network controller platform to manage and optimize the network.
Build algorithms for tuning the network. Build ML based models which can help create self-healing networks.
Lead the team that works with customer/field teams and come up with initiatives by anticipating problems pro-actively by analyzing field data and metrics.
Focus on operational excellence, proposing solutions and taking on projects that improve your team’s networks and systems, making them better and easier to maintain.
Provide network escalation support for critical and complex network/system issues.
Build and scale the teams by training new team members on how the networks and systems are built, operated and scaled.
Basic qualifications
7+ years of experience as an engineering manager with a track record of delivering successful products
7+ years of experience as an engineering manager in hiring and building teams from scratch
7+ years of experience in architecting and designing of products
Experience working in Linux environment with exposure to Linux networking (TCP, UDP, routing, firewall, DNS).
5+ years of Software Development experience
Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications
4+ years of working experience on OS systems in industry
5+ years of experience with, at least, one programming language such as C, Python, Java
2+ years of experience in managing Cloud application development
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Strong sense of ownership, including an ability to promote operational excellence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong debugging and systems analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience developing and maintaining large scale wireless networks
Proficiency in embedded C, exposure to JAVA/C++/GoLang/python is a plus.
Good understanding of Linux/OpenWRT Operating System
Experience working on HW/SW for network devices
