Role: Software Engineer – MTS
Location: Hyderabad, India
The Salesforce Business Technology (BT) team is looking for talented Engineers who will be instrumental in transforming how BT computing services are leveraged to support company growth. This role will involve driving strategy, architecture, roadmaps, and execution of projects that will enable Salesforce to continue as the model for cloud BT infrastructure services.
Role Description:
As a Software Engineerat Salesforce, you will be part of a dynamic global team delivering and supporting technology infrastructure to meet the growth needs of the business. You will be involved in projects that will optimize current services as well as work on building next generation cloud infrastructure for the global production environment. You will collaborate with the Engineering and Development teams to ensure the designed service is fully operational with streamlined processes and procedures for ongoing support and maintenance.
Your Impact:
Systems: Excellent understanding of Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure & GCP
Network: Understanding of TCP/IP Protocols, OSI Model, Routing Algorithms ( BGP, OSPF), Switching , Virtual Private Network
Expert in AWS resources and use cases. Enabling BT customer to deploy and operate on AWS
Collaborate with peers and partners in the execution of use cases, proof of concepts
Delivery of programmable infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code)
Participate in agile infrastructure software development, scrum, kanban, and sprints
Hands on working knowledge on implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for Infrastructure as Code.
Automation of AWS workloads and deployments
Provide operational support for Infrastructure as Code and native public cloud services (AWS: IAM, Cloudtrail, VPC, EC2)
Commitment to quality, reliability, uptime, customer satisfaction, and data security
Exploring new tools and resources in AWS to create in impact in providing better solutions to customers
Understanding Threat & Vulnerability Management and HRI’s
Understanding of EKS clusters and basic know-how of Kubernetes and Dockers (YAML files)
Basic Requirements:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
Good programming skills in Python / Java
Exceptional research skills and resourcefulness, Strong technical problem solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Willingness to learn and master unfamiliar technologies and/or concepts
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
Proactive and forward thinking attitude and creative problem solving ability
Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to shift directions quickly when priorities change, think through problems to come up with innovative solutions and deliver against very tight deadlines
Network: Understanding of TCP/IP Protocols, OSI Model, Routing Algorithms ( BGP, OSPF), Switching , Virtual Private Network
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge on docker and containerised concepts
Systems: Basic experience with AWS technologies such as S3, EBS, EC2, ECS, EKS, ELB/ALB, Network: Knowledge of networking fundamentals and network requirements for a hybrid cloud environment
SRE: Experience with log management, including aggregation, alerting, and graphing (i.e Grafana, ELK)
