Description:
This position is for Application Developer for Fixed Income Technology group, part of the Investment Bank.
This is a hands-on technical role. The candidate should be able to do e nd-to-end development, testing and maintenance of frontend (UI) software components
Able to develop robust, performant software products and APIs, and enrich existing applications using the Athena Platform. Align development with the overall Markets Athena convergence strategy.
Work directly with line of business developers to gather requirements, understand business context and translate this into a set of work items for delivery.
Be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle: requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing, and handover to line of business teams.
Enhance the team by demonstrating best practice throughout the software development lifecycle: testing, code review, accurate status reporting, focus on application resilience and “operability” as per JPMC technical standards.
Provide level-3 support to troubleshoot production issues and assist users with their queries
Qualification:
4 – 8 years of experience in software development
Proficient in ReactJS, Redux, HTML, CSS, and other UI related technologies
Knowledge of C#, Python and other Object Oriented Languages is good to have
Clear understanding of UI and UX design constructs and their implementation.
Working Experience of databases such as Oracle, SQL/SQL Server.
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets such as Git, Jira, etc
Understanding of the Agile Scrum software development lifecycle.
Strong communication (written and oral) and analytical problem-solving skills.
Strong sense of attention to detail, accountability, pride in delivering high quality work and willingness to learn
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
B.E / BSc degree or equivalent experience
An understanding of financial markets is nice to have.
