Software Test & Quality Assurance ensures the products we sell represent the high Quality and Reliability of the Dyson brand, by using the world class techniques to implement automated methods of testing. This can involve simulating elements of the product to allow testing of all scenarios, to using image recognition or advanced technologies for automatic identification of elements displayed on the user interface. Quality is ensured and actively maintained during the Scaled Agile Framework development process by our QMS experts, and accepting customer correspondence to improve future products. Our labs allow unattended testing of partial to full products including moving robots, allowing the team to work remotely. About the role
Connected Products with advanced software and app platforms are cementing Dyson’s place as a pioneering global technology organisation. We are looking for Software Security Testers to ensure the Products are secure, while also representing the Quality and Reliably of the Dyson brand.
We work in a supportive environment where the team embraces new techniques to improve itself and grow capability. We’re looking for someone who shares this ethic and can work collaboratively with other teams across different platforms (Lighting, Environmental, Hair, Floorcare and Robotics). You must be aware of SW verification methodologies or techniques to develop Security test strategies, ideally with a background in Security testing embedded products, comfortable with high-level design and discussions with Developers.
Proactively identify Security risks within projects and influence engineering teams to their resolution
Review Requirements to identify Security risks and future Security Test opportunities
Perform embedded pen-test activities, automated or manual to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in IOT consumer products.
Define pen-test methodologies with a combination of automated and manual tools.
Build Automated systems to support continuous testing and analysis of nightly builds for the life of the product
Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and integration of Offensive Cyber tools against platforms, payloads & systems
Promote best practice across the product development lifecycle
Work in a SAFE Agile team across a global organisation
About you
Cyber or penetration security certificates, or experience
Experience using scan / attack / access tools and techniques
Experience of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE and Zigbee.
Experience of interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG and USB
Competency in at least one scripting or coding language, python, C, C++
Continuous integration and continuous delivery – we use Linux, Docker and Python based scripts and tools
Proficiency in Security concepts for IOT, Linux and RTOS Operating Systems
Test Management Systems, Jira, Confluence, Stash, Git, Bamboo
Providing critical input at all stages of design and development of a new feature
Persistent nature, inquisitive attitude and results driven.
Creative and product focussed ability to generate numerous concepts for new technologies
