Your Role and Responsibilities

As an administrator, you are responsible for administration and management of PostgreSQL, Time series DB for PostgreSQL (timescale DB), MongoDB databases.
Responsibilities:
Manage database administration including… experience working on multiple ETL projects comprising schema check, data completeness.Provide application development teams with basic data modeling advice.Managing large shared MongoDB cluster – Experience with SQL coding and tuning – Must be hands-on, technically adept DBA, capable of performing required DB tasks.Expert level of MongoDB installation/configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking/tuning, back-up/recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience in-large and very dynamic environments.Experience with very complex database environments. – Experience in working controlled environment, change control, and validated systems. – Experience with MongoDB Ops Manager.Defines, designs, and implements cluster solutions, as well as, proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.Resolves issues regarding patches and impact analysis, and application issue resolution and with developers, business analysts, and end users to provide system administration support.Scripting/Shell Languages (JSON preferred), Unix shell scripting – Extreme proficiency with Linux and Python
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
We are looking for a candidate with 10+ years of experience in a Database Administration specialist role with 7 plus years of exclusive experience in performing the administration activities on mongoDB, PostgreSQL, timeseries DB.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Hands on experience on Linux, DB administration, ETL/ELT processing, Datadog and science logic preferred.
Self-motivated to identify and correct operational issuesYou love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologiesAmbitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to workIntuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time managementProven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededUp-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
