Responsible for designing and programming key software components, features or set of features for key physical-digital technologies to implement inspection, BOT, deep learning and other AI-based application in manufacturing or services environment in industries such as Energy, Aviation, and Healthcare. Work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Lead design discussion working with data, UX and solution architects. Spend time with customers to understand their requirements and build solutions to support the needs that imbibe Lean principles.

In this role, you will:
Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimate and justify the estimate with facts for AI-based projects for industrial environments such as manufacturing and services.Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boardingExecute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goalMaintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automationSeek and provide feedback on design and developmentDemonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessmentUnderstand whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or moduleHelp in designing interfaces and information exchange between modulesArticulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing.Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the projectWorks across business and multiple functions to drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and applies existing technology to designsBe an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practicesBe responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructureProvide guidance to a team of 5 to 7 developers with either planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUMWork with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) and business teams to understand product requirements & visionWrite code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Job Characteristics
Technical Expertise:Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principlesHands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.), using Apache Commons Suite & Maven, SQL Database such as Oracle MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.Hands-on experience in utilizing Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Integration and Data)Experience with Big Data / Hadoop and NoSQL Database is a big plusHands-on experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, jQuery, CSS. Also, experience in implementing Java OSGi modules and using an OSGi container.Experience with Play framework, Angular is a big plus

Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) + with 8 years of experience min.Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, and Software Design PatternsHands-on experience with web development technologies such as Angular, REACT, HTML5, Java Script, jQuery, CSS.Experience in developing on cloud platform such as AWS is required and docker technology.Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.), using Apache Commons Suite & Maven, SQL Database such as Oracle MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
Hands-on experience in utilizing Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Integration and Data)
Desired QualificationsMaster’s degree is preferred.Experience in developing AI-based applications for industrial environments, industrial software and user experience design in energy, transportation and healthcare segment.Experience with Big Data / Hadoop and NoSQL Database is a big plus
