Job Description : Salary: £27,000 – £39,000, dependent on skills and experienceStart Date: ASAPWho are you?An experienced sustainability professional or carbon analyst to support us on a number of projects that have deliverables including; GHG scope 1-3 assessments, sustainability strategies and net zero action plans.The right candidate for this role will have knowledge and experience of sustainability, environment and carbon assessment, ideally with some experience or familiarity with both the media and entertainment industries.About the roleSupporting on delivery of consultancy projects and working with the company Senior Managers and Director, across multiple consultancy and reporting projectsWriting both technical assessments / reports as well as high level summariesLiaison with clients, project partners and key stakeholdersAnalysis of large datasets, condensing into validated and digestible outputsWorking to tight deadlines and delivering high quality work for a range of high profile international clientsHigh level of quality assurance scrutiny and due diligencePresenting assessment results to internal and external stakeholdersAbility to extract usable data from complex and sometimes nebulous datasetsEssential skills and experienceStrong understanding and applied experience of environmental and carbon emissions auditing, Greenhouse Gas protocol and carbon emission conversion factors (BEIS, EPA and other CF datasets)Familiarity with and understanding of recognised standards and reporting structures such as ISO 14064, SECR and GHG Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard among othersKnowledge of sustainability, carbon neutral and net zero frameworks such as SBTi, UN SDGs, PAS2060Relevant qualifications or experience in the environmental sustainability sector and/or an analytical background is preferred; this could be a STEM background, data analyst etcDetailed understanding of data collation, formatting and analysisGood analytical and mathematical skills – confident interpreting, extracting and presenting datasets into clear outputsExperienced with Excel, creating complex spreadsheets to apply a range of functions for analysing large datasetsProactive; able to prioritise a variable workload and work independently at timesGood initiative, comfortable working for regular periods of minimal supervisionEnthusiasm for working in a growing a team and business in a fast moving and dynamic environmentConfident communicator; able to engage with clients, subcontractors and external stakeholders at all levelsAbility to support senior colleaguesExperienced with technical report writingCompetent in Google suite including Docs, Sheets and Slides & Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPointMembership of IEMA or similar professional bodyKey Information: Hours: 40+ usually Monday – Friday (Flexible, FTE)Location: Predominantly UK based, hybrid working – would need some office time (office based in Wells, Somerset)31 days holiday pro rata, per annum, including bank holidaysStatutory pension contributionsAccess to internal / external training programmes, qualifications and professional developmentOpportunities to be involved with internal / external activities and eventsCycle to work schemeCalm app premium subscriptionOpportunities to visit client events and projectsFlexible working hoursAbout usHope Solutions is a leading environmental sustainability consultancy working at the forefront of climate action across multiple sectors to bring about measurable change.
