Essential Functions of the Job:
Data Analyst will perform the below functions:
Operational:
Delivery –
Understand the functioning of the engagement tools and client ERP systems involved in global service delivery
Work with the EY tax teams and understand their current data requirements and fulfill their data needs
Work on documenting the current process from the EY tax teams with process maps with details at Level 5
Design thinking to develop standard processes and work with the business on process improvements
Hands on support for Client specific GTP and Technology Solution environment setup for client presentations i.e. data request, system integrations and setup etc
Executing GTP deployment activities including documenting design and requirements, client onboarding onto GTP, unit testing, delivery of Executing deployment activities including documenting design and requirements, client onboarding onto GTP, unit testing, delivery of training to EY and client teams, go-live documentation, etc
Technology enablement resource i.e. Assist and advise on GTP queries, coordinate and communicate on-going resolution for tech enhancements and issues etc.
Executing proof-of-concepts and pilots to evolve opportunities into new projects/engagements
Management of GTP issues and enhancement across account teams to centralize GTP Intake process for control, governance and oversight
Proficient in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Essbase, Sabrix etc, SQL skills will be an advantage.
Support Transitions and lead Transition calls for Technology Data Operations
Map data requirements for the deliverables in scope
Work with Regional and Global Engagement Leaders to finalize the data requirements before loading them to GTP
Perform data quality checks on data requirements before loading them to GTP
Quality –
Responsible for quality of service
Ensure the standard operating procedure is followed
Flag the risks appropriately at right time
Learning & Development –
Participate in development of re-usable assets

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Abilities –
Analytical mindset, quick learner and capability to adapt to a dynamic environment and be able to deliver work in a structured manner
Ability to coordinate project activities and work well with different teams including geographically dispersed resources across multiple teams within EY and at client side
Be flexible and willing to adjust responsibilities to align with developing business needs
Technology Skills –
Analytical mindset, quick learner and capability to adapt to a dynamic environment and be able to deliver work in a structured manner
Understanding of EY delivery methodology for GCR/TFO engagements
Strong project management skills, ability to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor budget
Ability to coordinate project activities and work well with different teams including resources in other locations across multiple teams within EY and on client side.
Knowledge of data visualization tools and packages such as Power BI, QlikView, Spotfire, R, python, SQL or Excel VBA or similar.
Experience and understanding of EY technology deployment approach (e.g. technology implementation phases, gather requirements, design, tech set up, tech test, etc.)
Awareness of broader EY technology landscape (e.g. OGM Workflow, ServiceNow, EYInteract, etc.)
Tax Technical Skills –
Basic accounting skills to map the data requirements for tax deliverables
Knowledge –
Delivery in a services environment.
Maintains interpersonal skills to engage with peers and other seniors of the firm, in matrixed, geographically dispersed organization and to build a solid network for collaboration and knowledge sharing
Contribute in improving the processes, propose credible options
Qualifications:
Bachelors or master’s degree, preferably Commerce or Business Management
3 – 4 years’ experience of working in a multi-cultural and team environment
