YOUR PROFILE:
Preferred extensive experience in Home Furnishing planning & consultancy with customer focus and customer service.Excellent customer service skills and the ability to actively sell through understanding customers and their needs.A practical hands-on approach to your tasks and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.Good analytical skills for planning and managing day to day schedules, fixing slots for planning, assisting customers, monitoring feedback, resolving critical customer concerns, provide amicable solutions and create great customer experience.Good at quickly building rapport with people from different (cultural) backgrounds.Strong interpersonal communications, analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills with a proven experience of managing a team.Proven ability to understand cause and effect of decisions.Actively seeking improved methods of working in a simple, lean and cost-efficient way with a proven ability to work as part of a larger team.Emotional resilience and ability to handle conflict (assertive and able to remain calm when confronted with angry and/or upset customers).Ability to work varied hours/days as needed and travel across the city to work at different locations as per customer’s requirement.Passion for quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail and home furnishing expertise.Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities/deadlines and moderate stress.Excellent listening skills and ability to review and understand requirement and design with help of IKEA Home Planning solutions or other planning tools. Also experience in drafting, space planning and interior or architectural design.Experience with computer and interior design software (i.e., AutoCAD, Revit, 3D software, MS office).
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to work with diverse team members.Able to work in a high paced retail environment.Ability to handle multiple customer enquiries.Ability to communicate via in person, phone or e-mail in English.Lifting/Handling Requirements – Ability to occasionally move or handle merchandise throughout the location generally 10-20 Kgs. This may include bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting on a regular basis. Any manual lifting over 25 Kgs will require the assistance of other co-worker(s) and/or use of manual lifting equipment.Standing for most times of the work shift.Strong attention to detail in order to maintain basic actions and adhere to IKEA policies and guidelines.Freely walk & move across all areas of the location such as sales floor, check outs, stock area and different areas at the customer’s place as per the requirement.Wear PPE (personal protective equipment) wherever applicable; and to use hand tools/small power tools and related equipment, if required.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Home Furnishing Planning & Consultancy Team Leader’s primary responsibility is to manage and lead a team of Home Furnishing Planners & Consultants to provide a positive shopping experience for our customers by offering home furnishing knowledge and design expertise in the IKEA store for customers who request this service for a complete home or business project; to create and offer relevant, aesthetic and commercial interior decorating solutions so that customers have a positive impression of IKEA products and services. With this, we maximise sales in all areas of the home using specialist knowledge of our range.
As you will be working in the Customer Relations & Services Experience department, you will be the customers’ point of contact through the Home Furnishing planning and consultancy team, by partnering with the store sales, com&in, services, after-sales and IKEA Business teams; to support, resolve and ensure that the customer journey from planning stage to delivery/assembly/installation service is accomplished, meeting the highest possible quality level. Also, to assist in developing solutions and providing feedback on all matters related to the home furnishing planning service including completeness of orders, timeliness of installation while also meeting ‘First Time Right’ and other encountered customer concerns.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT:
Develop sales in an efficient and effective way in all media in order to attract more customers (both B2C and B2B) to IKEA more often and to buy more. You do this by optimizing our sales priorities and commercial activities. Main responsibilities are identifying customer needs, inspiring them with IKEA products and solutions, developing and executing sales steering, selling the IKEA way, range management and pricing. Also ensuring an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping and buying experience, which leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability.You will manage and lead a team of Home Furnishing Planners & Consultants to provide a positive shopping experience for our customers by offering home furnishing knowledge and design expertise in the IKEA store, including recruitment, coaching, mentoring, training, scheduling and performance management, while ensuring that staff follow IKEA values.Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market. Also use home furnishing to create target-driven commercial home furnishing solutions in businesses and homes that reflect the IKEA identity, optimizing the use of the IKEA Home Furnishing Business products by developing and implementing range solutions that strengthen the connection between the IKEA offer and the everyday lives of people.Actively contribute to gathering of insights and trends, translating this knowledge into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic and commercial solutions that exceed customer expectations and reflect home furnishing the IKEA Way.Follow up on pending offers as well as completed offers, striving for 100% conversion rate, loyalty and customer satisfaction.Collecting information on local service product competition, to promote IKEA services in ways that best show IKEA’s competitive advantage to customers.Convey passion about new IKEA products & services and actively learn about their features and benefits and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.Retain high quality, while remaining simple, efficient and cost conscious when planning all design solutions using global tools as well as good examples from other stores and countries.Respect routines and responsibilities work together with sales, com&in, logistics, customer relations, services, after-sales, IKEA Business and other functions.Drive proactive actions and behaviour to help deliver both individual and market performance of commercial goals and understand the impact of actions on the financial results.Ensure the function operates with IKEA Code of Conduct and INGKA & India Business Risk and Compliance frameworks.Be an active player in working on sustainability initiatives within selling through ensuring sustainability priorities are reflected across offering (e.g., energy efficient lighting).
