Responsibilities:
Provide architecture and the design of Big Data Information Management & Analytics solutions
Enterprise Architects, employing effective governance methods for transparency and communication.
Design and implement scalable Big Data architecture solutions for various application needs.
Analyse multiple sources of structured and unstructured data to propose and design data architecture solutions for scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, and elasticity.
Assist architects and developers in the design and implementation of high-performance systems with large volume data integration processes, database, storage, and provisioning.
Hire, mentor, train and lead a team of Data Engineers and Cloud Developers based on customer demand.
Take full ownership of the employee lifecycle from interviewing and hiring, through to developing skills and performance rating.
Play an active role in relationship management with existing customers.
Assisting the sales team by providing technology inputs, compelling pitch presentations, and developing RFP responses & proposals.
Provide industry insight, lead technical discussions, and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate how proposed solutions from Onward Tech can be leveraged to meet client business demands.
Must work collaboratively with Sales, Pre-Sales and Delivery teams to ensure that you meet quarterly and annual targets.
Skills & Requirement:
At least 8 years total work experience in Technology Services designing and developing data architecture solutions.
6+ years of relevant technology management experience in one of the leading Big Data Platform Stacks, preferably in at least two of the following Industries: Automotive/Manufacturing/Financial Services/Retail/Pharma & Life Sciences in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, Data Management and Cloud programs as well as managing senior level individuals, in a multi-line technology services environment.
2+ Years of experience in Java and related frameworks(good to have)
2+ Years of experience with Big Data and NoSQL platforms and technologies, specifically hands-on experience with one or more major Hadoop distributions and various ecosystem components (e.g. MapReduce, MLLib, Impala, HBase, Spark etc.).
1+ Years of experience with any Cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Google is necessary.
1+ Years of experience with at least one Visualisation/BI tool like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Birst, Microstrategy, SAS-VA, is necessary
2+ Years of experience with Python, Pyspark, Kafka etc. with good understanding of data science and machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc..
Experience designing and implementing large scale enterprise applications and data-centric platforms.
Experience in designing and developing high-volume mission critical transactional data integration solutions.
Strong, in-depth experience in data modeling and experience with business intelligence systems (dimensional modeling, data mining, predictive analytics).
Experience with UML modeling tools
Experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum
Strong Team Player with excellent communication skills with proven experience in hiring, training and building high performing technical teams under him.
Qualification: BE/B.Tech/BS/MCA/MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
