This position is for development of Power management firmware for various data Centre SoC products . Xeon Power Management Firmware team is involved in design and development of complex power management algorithms , flows and control state machines for all data Centre SoC products. System level power management firmware role requires experience in the following
Understanding of High level Architectural Specs.
Development of firmware in Assembly/C/C++
Patching , Unit testing and debugging.
Scripting in Ruby/Shell/Python
Qualifications
Qualification :
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering
Minimum 6+ years in Firmware verification & validation.
IA Architecture , Embedded development environments.
System level understanding of various embedded IPs , IOs , Interconnects , Memory subsystem , Active power management , ACPI fundamentals etc.
Understanding on various communication protocols.
Systemic problem analysis.
Good at Assembly/C/C++/Shell/Python programming.
Excellent debugging skills.
Others :
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong attention to technical detail, problem solving skills and tolerance to ambiguity
