The role
As part of our customer digital transformation an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of a new team and culture of mobile application developers that will support the ongoing evolution of our My 7-Eleven App and future eCommerce experiences. What you’ll be doing
Contribute to the creation of a new team and culture of mobile application developers
Work with Product Owners, designers, and architects to build new native mobile features, as well as supporting the My 7-Eleven app
Inform delivery planning and technical design by providing a balanced view of options, effort and quality considerations
Keep abreast of the latest technology advancements to inform product and technical design
Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of products, technology, processes and team development
Actively develop skills and experience through continual learning, mentoring and teaching as we strive to do things better
Work with other teams in the business to deliver shared goals and outcomes
What’s in your toolkit
E xperience working in Android development using Kotlin
Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices for software development
Developed skills in software development techniques such as object orientation, functional programming, test-driven development, micro-services, use of automated testing, and CI/CD
An understanding of common mobile application architectures
Experience working in Azure DevOps is beneficial
Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment
An appreciation of why we want things done ( i.e. a good sense of business acumen) and customer first thinking
