Job Description : We are seeking an Application Operations Engineer who specializes in providing Tier-1 and Tier-2 Application support and maintenance to our internal customers with resolution to product specific application challenges. In this dynamic role, you will work across the businesses, partnering closely with the stakeholders across various functions.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. System Maintenance
Provide maintenance and support for assigned applications, assess downtime cause, co-ordinate with the infrastructure and/or security team(s) for any OS, hardware, security, policies, switch, firewall, etc. findings that will help with resolving the issue, co-ordinate with users on maintenance schedules, escalate and engage vendor, if any vendor support is required. Anaylse logs, transactions, activities, etc. that could potentially contribute to the system downtime, bring-up and restore the core function for continuity of the business, resolve the malfunction of the application, identify the root cause of the issue, plan and implement measures for future incident prevention, and if required plan for future upgrade
Initiate license and/or maintenance contract renewal whenever required.
Ensure continuous system usability to serve the business needs and increase system reliability.
2. System Changes and Support
Understand user requirement, analyse the impact of the change request, manage, develop and implement the change request including any changes to the interfacing and dependent systems, counter propose any process improvements or changes to ensure the changes are not piecemeal and changes meet the customer’s expectations and requirements. Seek approval before developing the changes, document the test script, plan and execute for SIT, if any, end user testing, update system processes in order to ensure system continues to serve the dynamic business needs.
3. Automation and New System deployment
Evaluate opportunities to automate manual processes and inform supervisor on possible automation for further evaluation TO improve productivity and increase efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Graduate Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Studies or Information Technology or related disciplines
PREFERRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS
Ability to work in a team as well as independentlyAbility to communicate across different functions and levels of audiencesEffective at acquiring an understanding of a problem or situation, with good problem-solving skill.Previous experience with software development and application support is an advantageGeneral knowledge of hardware (server spec) and networking (client/server architecture, switch, firewall, LAN) is an advantageMinimum 5 years of experienceSelf-driven and proactive in keeping up with new technologies and programmingMust have strong technical knowledge of application developmentExperience in any 3 of the following domain area/ technology/ programming languages
o C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS3, & JavaScript, .NET 5, .NET Core, .NET Framework and/or Web API
o Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and/or Cosmos DB
o AKS, Azure Web App, Azure Storage, Container Registry and/or Azure Key Vault
o Azure Logic App, Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, and/or Azure Data Factory
o Microsoft SharePoint Online, Jira Software Customization and/or Microsoft Teams Integration/Development
o Microsoft Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Automate, Power App and/or Power Virtual Agent)
o Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipeline and/or DevOps tool chains
Knowledge and experience in cloud-native application development will be added advantages.Certified in Microsoft technologies will be added advantages.
