Sutherland is seeking an analytical and strategic-thinking person to join us as Content Writer. We are looking for an enthusiastic Content Writer who is a self-learner to enrich client operations information with easy-to-follow articles or decision trees. Writers in this role get to:
Research:
Source publicly available contact information and content to create product support information for end users
Communicate with contacts via emails and internal ticketing tools to source contact information and content to surface to end users
Check sourced information for validity and availability on internal tools and databases
Use internal tools to publish sourced content for end users
Capture and index sourced and published content in Excel
Streamline processes and build flowcharts where applicable
Writing:
Leverage open-source existing documentation, manufacturer content and contact information, to create product support documents
Comprehend and write self-service articles that are aligned to client tone of voice (instructional or conversational)
Reauthor content using DITA XML or other editing tools and publish to internal and external end users
Ensure Quality:
Create new templates, if required, to author different article types
Ensure that information found is useful, accurate and in line with client guidelines
Ensure timely response to all communication, updates to knowledge base and reports
Build the content taxonomy and include SEO words to enable quick search
Work on preparing well-structured articles using authoring tool and prepare the articles for client’s Knowledge Management System
Ultimately deliver quality writing articles to effectively troubleshoot queries. Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
Strengthen relationships:
Work with client team to create content for effective query resolution
Qualifications:
Our most successful candidates will have:
Experience as a researcher, content writer, technical writer, or similar role
Experience communicating with clients, customers, or end users
Experience doing research using multiple sources
Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Graduate in any stream or related field
Previous experience of working in DITA XML or similar tools would be an added advantage
Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Oxygen) and content writing would be an added advantage
Intermediate level Excel skills
