Our Avanade Australia Academies accelerate our growth by ensuring we have a vehicle to continuously develop and acquire talent with skills on the Microsoft platform by bringing new candidates into the pool.

We have identified in-demand skills and bring together Academy cohorts across Australia to be trained and developed to fill essential roles within our business, working across numerous client projects.

Following your successful completion of a 4-week training Academy, you will work as part of a fusion team and build apps to meet the needs of clients and support them to modernise. You will join our modern engineering hub and help us deliver engineering excellence to the region. This hub will use provide a squad-based delivery model from the ground up to deliver rapid and frequent value to our clients.

As Microsoft Power Apps App Maker, you will utilise your in-depth business analysis skills and Power Apps knowledge to design solutions built on the Power Platform, using a low-code, configure-first approach. You will work alongside business analysts, user experience designers and experienced software developers to deliver visually appealing, responsive mobile and browser applications.

You will connect applications to modern data platforms including Dataverse, Dynamics 365, or using new and existing connectors. You will on leverage your training and experience to design and implement solutions in medium to large enterprises.

You will also join Avanade’s Power Apps and Dynamics 365 community, learning from experts across the globe covering bleeding edge topics through community and internal events.

Please note this is an initial 3 month fixed term, full time employment.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Contribute across all phases of Avanade projects (Discovery, Envision & Prepare, Construct & test, Accept & Release, Manage & Evolve)
Conduct business process analysis, capture business requirements
Design, refine and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and related technologies 
Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent, positive client interaction and solution delivery
Identify points of platform extension or customisation, such as APIs and custom controls, and work with developers to implement custom solutions in Power Apps
Assist in sales activities and planning as required
Travel as needed

Prerequisite Exam: PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals

To demonstrate your interest in the Academy, and commitment to completing it, we require that all participants complete the Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals exam PL-900. This exam will prepare you for the more advanced content covered in the Academy by getting you familiar with the products, terminology, and concepts of the Microsoft Power Platform.

Familiarises you with Microsoft certifications generally
Demonstrates your interest in cross-skilling to Microsoft technologies and ability to successfully take the first step

What happens if I fail?

This exam has a pass score of 700/1000. If you don’t pass, you will be able to re-take the exam after 24 hours. You will be provided with a score report, letting you know which areas to focus on.

If you fail it a second time, you must wait two weeks before attempting it again.

I don’t have the time to complete this exam but would still like to join the Academy. Is this possible?
