The Tools Engineering team at Salesforce is rapidly innovating in the CI space and improving developer productivity from Code to Cloud. If you have been a leading-edge technologist and have been passionate about improving developer productivity by building distributed and massively scalable application systems in the space of CI and CD, then this is the team for you!
About the Role
This Role provides the opportunity to work with a highly energized technical team to deliver a CI system that runs about ~40 million tests per day using ~65k VM hours per day in a multi-substrate environment: First Party, AWS, GCP.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the implementation of secure CI / CD system on a Microservices model at scale, that integrate with critical subsystems. You have a strong understanding of code dependency management, test case analysis and setting up containers, logging and analytics.
Responsibilities
Design and implement services for a secure CI / CD pipeline for Salesforce services
Drive the development of services to an API first architecture
Own key developer productivity metrics improvements around the CI space and provide cutting edge solutions
Embody service ownership from design to development to deployment
Automate release management activities
Work across the engineering organization to resolve complex technical issues and drive innovation that improves system availability, resiliency, and performance
Required Skills
BS or MS Degree in CS/EE (or related degree)
3 – 8 years of experience developing Java applications in a Linux/UNIX environment
Experience with full-stack development and SQL databases
Experience with Git, Perforce, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker
Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a mission critical service.
Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development

Desired Skills
Experience developing and managing applications in the public cloud
Experience in Spring, Hibernate, jersey, jackson, swagger, guava, React.JS / Angular.JS or equivalent
Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, micro-service development and Blue/Green software deployments
Experience using metrics to drive operational excellence .
Possess a data driven approach to problem solving
