Job Description : Graceland Nursing Home is a well-established family run 70 bed Care Home in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. We are dedicated to providing high standards of dignified care that respects the individual needs of our residents.We are looking for a full-time bookkeeper / financial administrator, who must have experience of ‘Sage 50 Accounts’, to join our team.Candidates should be well organised with an eye for detail ensuring we deliver an efficient experience for our residents and their relatives.Using Sage 50 Accounts, Autoentry, Microsoft Office and our Care Management Software, the applicant will record activity and manage the day-to-day operation of the home’s accounts department liaising with our Payroll Administrator and senior members of the management team.Working alone, or in a small team, numeracy, literacy and I.T. skills alongside good communication skills are key qualities.Day to Day ProcessesSales and Purchase invoicingDebtor/Creditor ManagementBank Payment/ReceiptsBank ReconciliationsThe DetailSetting up and maintaining Customer Accounts liaising with Local Authorities and our resident’s relatives.Processing invoices and remittances using Sage 50 Professional accounts software.Contacting clients to resolve any issues or collect payment when appropriate.Liaising with team membersEntering supplier invoices into our in-house automated system (Autoentry).An understanding of Accruals, Prepayments and Journals is essential to the role which has the potential to develop as the company growth continues.Person ProfileExperience in working on the popular software Sage 50 Accounts Professional is essentialAccuracy and an eye for detail.Excellent analytical and numerical abilitiesSound business knowledgeExcellent communication skillThe attitude and ability to meet challenging deadlinesAn enthusiastic, positive and ‘can do’ approachAbility to learn quickly and adapt to rapid changeAbility to prioritise workload effectivelyTeam playerJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From £13.00 per hourBenefits:Company pensionFlexible scheduleOn-site parkingSchedule:8 hour shiftCOVID-19 considerations:Graceland Nursing Home follows Health Protection Scotland and Scottish Government Guidance to protect residents, staff and visitors.
